A New Start

All the new pupils have now started in Dosbarth Teigr and are beginning to settle in and make lots of new friends. Our topic of 'Jaws, Paws and Claws has got off to a fabulous start with a visit from the 'Nearly Wild Show' where the children got to handle a range of animals from rabbits and mice to snakes and even a giant tortoise!

We'd also like to welcome two new additions to our classroom, our pet mice! The children voted on the names Daisy and Woe and these pets will provide lots of opportunities to discuss caring for living things and responsibility for looking after them.

A special Visitor!

When we got to class this morning we found a letter from Pinkcus the Alien from the planet Zoomus! We followed the strange footprints and found Pinkcus sat in a tree with his belongings. He wants to find out about the planet Earth and says he will teach us about space travel and planets. We told him what we already know and what we would like to find out.

Tigers settle in

In Nursery, we are the Tigers and we have been busy giving our class a Tiger theme. We've been cutting out tiger faces for our target board; handprinting tigers and drawing stripes on them to make a border for our 'Welcome' display.

Our newest children have been settling into class and have enjoyed exploring the different areas of the lower Foundation Phase department. They have collaged their faces to make a new welcome board as well as collaging their teachers' faces.
